01Direct DMG license
This page is for the Direct download of Prompto: the Developer ID-signed DMG distributed from the Prompto website and updated with Sparkle.
The launch price is USD 6.49. The planned regular price is USD 9.99. One purchase creates a personal license key for 1 Mac.
The license key applies only to the Direct DMG version. It does not unlock, activate, discount, or change the Mac App Store version.
02Checkout
Direct purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles the checkout, receipt, taxes, payment details, and order recovery.
After checkout, Lemon Squeezy generates your license key and includes it in the order receipt and My Orders.
03Mac App Store
The Mac App Store version is a separate channel managed by Apple. It has no Direct license-key screen, no Lemon Squeezy runtime, no external checkout unlock path, and no Sparkle updater.
If you install Prompto from the Mac App Store, purchase, download, updates, refunds, and account history are handled by Apple.
04After purchase
Download the Direct DMG, drag Prompto.app to Applications, then activate the app with the license key from your Lemon Squeezy receipt.
If you lose the receipt, use Lemon Squeezy My Orders with the email address used at checkout. My Orders is also where Lemon exposes order history and available product links.
Activation UI is part of the Direct app licensing work and is not in the Mac App Store build.
